Frequently Asked Question

Why Have Some Areas Not Been Mown?
Last Updated 2 months ago

Site management, including mowing, can be affected by a number of factors, and our staff are trained to make decisions on how to proceed based on their knowledge of the site and experience in their work.

Following heavy rainfall, some parts of our sites may not be able to take the weight of the mowing vehicles, so those may not be mown on every occasion.

Where protected species or floristically interesting plants (such as crocus, daffodils, oxeye daisies etc.) are known to be present on a site, areas may be omitted temporarily due to their presence, whether that may be a particular plant that flowers at a certain time of year, or a creature using the habitat as its home, or for breeding.

We will always do our best to make you aware of these matters by posting on the Notices or Your Site Maintenance pages of the Residents’ web page, which you can login to at www.bettsestates.com/registration. Please remember, you will need your ENVIR number to register, which is at the top of your Annual Service Charge bill.

Betts also have different mowing regimes, depending on grassland types. Please visit our main site at www.bettsestates.com, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Policies” link for further information.

If you have any questions about site maintenance, please remember we are very happy to address these if you get in touch, so please open a ticket at the helpdesk (www.bettsestates.com/help), email residents@bettsestates.com, give us a call on 01886 888445, or write to Betts Estates, Bank House, Great Witley Road, Martley, Worcestershire, WR6 6PB.
